Michael Jackson Memorabilia Sale Cancelled

The grand auction of the Neverland estate which belonged to the ‘king of pop’ Michael Jackson was unexpectedly cancelled yesterday by the star himself. The auction was scheduled from 22-25th of April, at the courtesy. Neverland estate . It was expected to raise around $20 million for Michael Jackson who is under a current debt of $24 million. The auction catalogue contained various famous items used by the pop star, in his popular albums including the crystal glove worn in the Billie Jean video, the jewel encrusted jackets worn by Jackson himself in many of his concerts and even the gates of the Neverland ranch.

MJ filed a lawsuit against the auctioneers last month and demanded his belongings, he won the law suit and the auctioneers agreed to return the items back to him. Jackson insisted that the items should be displayed to his fans rather than selling them to the hands of private collectors. Though the auction was called off the singer’s representatives stated that he would later make a substantial donation to the Musicares charity.
